Microtopping is a material made up of liquid polymer and a special cement mixture that is blended manually before each application depending on the final aesthetic the customer has chosen. With a thickness of around 2 millimetres, Microtopping® can cover most types of surface due to its remarkable adhesive properties. Its resistance to impact, abrasions and compression make it suitable for areas of heavy traffic including retail spaces, corridors and stairs, whether these be interior or exterior spaces. All this without ever losing sight of style. |
Microtopping is made by mixing water-based polymers which are entirely free of volatile organic compounds (VOC), together with cement-based ingredients.
The special liquid polymer is mixed with Microtopping Base Coat (which contains larger granules for strength and for creating differing aesthetics) followed by a choice of two versions of the Microtopping Finish Coat, with finer particles for a semi-smooth or perfectly smooth finish. Sealed with one of our Ideal Work high quality sealers, the result is a protective, highly resistant material with many of the aesthetic characteristics of polished concrete. Microtopping can be customised to a high degree, in colour, tonal variations, texture and finish, to tie in with the chosen decoration style and aesthetic.
