Thank you for your interest in Ideal Work Microtopping®.
As a design professional, you will be keen to understand all aspects of our Microtopping®, from its technical properties and specification, to its range of aesthetic possibilities, as well as have access to information regarding installation issues and pricing.
How we can help
We aim to provide you with the full support and service to enable you to present Microtopping® successfully to your clients and to specify our product with confidence. We have an extensive network of contractors who are qualified to install the material, but we are also pleased to liaise with the client's chosen builder to assist as may be required.
Let us know about your current project by calling us on 01273 471524. Understanding your needs is an important first step towards guiding you effectively through the process.
One of the first steps we suggest you take is to browse our gallery. All the photos are of projects carried out in the UK by specialist Microtopping® contractors. You will also find extensive photos in our catalogue and on our European Microtopping website. The photos are generally a good starting point for discussing aspects of the aesthetic with the client such as colour, colour variegation and the degree of troweling movement.
Our Microtopping® can be specified in one of two ways. Simply specify Microtopping, including our contact details (with the aesthetic to be decided at a later stage). Alternatively we can assist you in achieving a client-approved sample for specification purposes identified by an Ideal Work code number corresponding to the particular sample. This information will remain confidential until the contract is awarded to a contractor.
Key features of Microtopping
Microtopping® is a micro cement decorative finish, designed and manufactured in Italy. Microtopping can be applied to wall and floor surfaces, both in interior and exterior spaces. It can also be used as a finish to furniture, such as bar counters, reception desks, and display units.
Applied by skilled professionals, Microtopping® can be customised to meet your client's individual specification, whether it be a particular choice of colour, tonal variations or texture. If your client is looking for a contemporary, sophisticated aesthetic to their residential or commercial project Microtopping® is the perfect solution.
With a thickness of around 2mm, Microtopping® is often the only practical solution for existing floors. in many cases achieving significant savings for the client due to the avoidance of demolition costs. Certified test results attest to its resistance to impact and abrasion as well as its slip resistance, demonstrating its suitability for areas of heavy traffic and exposure to spills such as restaurants and bars and other public spaces. Furthermore, its remarkable adhesive properties make it a reliable finish to almost any solid substrate.
